Ian Gindes’ new album Rachmaninoff will be released on Navona Records (PARMA Recordings) on Nov. 3, 2023 and will be available on all platforms. This recording is a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth and showcases pieces which demonstrate the opulent chromatic harmonies and emotional depth of Rachmaninoff’s music. The album includes selections from the Preludes and the Études-Tableaux as well as a tribute to Rachmaninoff’s legacy, an arrangement of Jerry Goldsmith’s “Alone in the World,” by Jed Distler. Coming Soon: Rachmaninoff
Ian Gindes is working on his second recording, Rachmaninoff. Recorded by Grammy-award nominated sound engineer Mary Mazurek, the album features works from Rachmaninoff’s Preludes, Études, and solo repertoire. The recording will be released in fall 2023, to coincide with the year of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
